Plastikman marks 30 years of Musik with vinyl reissue

Richie Hawtin marked the 30th anniversary of Musik with a vinyl reissue through NovaMute. Announced in October 2024 for a December 6 release, the edition was remastered from the original tapes and pressed on bio-vinyl.
Originally released in November 1994, Musik was Hawtin’s second album as Plastikman, following Sheet One. Its ten tracks include Plastique, Kriket, Ethnik and Lasttrak.
The anniversary edition revisited a key period in Hawtin’s minimal techno work, with environmentally conscious packaging accompanying the new pressing. The release was announced during a year that also included his appearance at 909 x Loveland during Amsterdam Dance Event.
